Kel is of Maori descent from the Manawatu region of Aoteoroa New Zealand (Ngāti Kauwhata). Born & raised in Brisbane, Kel is a freelance editor based in Sydney, Australia. 

With story-telling at the heart of each project he brings a deep understanding of narrative structure and emotional pacing to his work, 

and a strong emphasis on collaboration in the film making process.In 2019 he received an Australian Screen Editors award for The Last Fight documentary. 

Kel has an edit suite in Marrickville, and can provide live-streamed edit sessions for domestic and international clients.
